Because the profit of Cort Guitars depends so much on international buyers and markets, Cort workers and their supporters have traveled overseas to global instrument trade fairs and conventions to publicize the illegal actions of Cort and to pressure the companies that subcontract from them to demand Cort to respect basic worker rights.

USA: NAMM Trade Show 2010 (Anaheim and Los Angeles, California )
WHEN: January 8 -17, 2010
Labor unions, community organizations, musicians, artists, and NAMM trade show attendees joined the Cort Action campaign in LA and in Anaheim. Organizations and people lent their skills, their voices, and ideas, and we took the stage in public spaces in LA and in front of NAMM to amplify the struggle of the Cort and Cor-tek workers for their livelihoods and for worker rights.

In LA and Anaheim, Cort Action and the workers from Cort and Cor-tek factories
* Held a solidarity concert with musicians who support the Cort workers, from Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Boots Riley of the Coup
* Held outdoor actions and press conferences outdoors in Hollywood and in front o the NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center
* Gathered the support and commitment of local unions and labor organizations, from AFL-CIO United Steel Workers Local 675 and UNITE HERE Local 11 and the Orange County Labor Federation

In Japan, a broad-based coalition of labor unions, precarious and temporary worker unions, cultural activists like Amateur Riot, and media activists joined together to support the Cort/ Cor-tek workers.
